The Gladstone / FB IDEAs Project Artist in Residence Space offers a fantastic backdrop to create + display + sell your work and showcase your creative talents to South Melbourne's newest residential community, plus access to a $25K grant.
We are looking for creative talent to engage with local residents and activate a vacant retail space located on the ground floor of this new residential tower. In addition to free access to the space for up to 3 months, there is also up to $25k funding available to deliver events and programs that will engage with local residents and community. A light filled open span space with high ceilings and stylishly painted graphics on the walls - ready for you to add your creative touch. Suitable for making art, workshops, exhibitions, artist talks, screenings, retail popups. 24/7 visibility to showcase your work with floor to ceiling glass walls onto the internal foyer and side laneway. Promotion and engagement opportunities with local residents and via FB IDEAs networks.
Located in South Melbourne at the heart of Fishermans Bend's Montague precinct, this space is surrounded by one of Melbourne’s most vibrant suburbs, a melting pot of historic beauty, contemporary chic and village charm. It is just moments from Melbourne CBD, accessible by public transport (5 mins from the tram (#109 or #96), Kirrip Park is nearby along with a range of great coffee and food options.
