Industry Business Hub is an inspired new design precinct that epitomises the cutting edge in contemporary workspace design. This ground-breaking hub has been developed by MAB Corporation and designed by award-winning conceptualists Plus Architects to meet the diverse needs of a range of businesses. Superbly located at the heart of an urban triangle comprising the CBD, South Melbourne and Docklands, Industry Business Hub boasts an impressive selection of flexible workspaces. Idea Brand Design (www.ideabd.com) has purchased a 108sqm studio on the 3rd floor and is looking for like-minded designers or other creative professions to share the space, available immediately. The building was completed in April 2011 and is filled with a range of small business including fashion, advertising, graphic design, web developers, printers and a wine business to name a few. There is a small gym on the ground floor for residents' use and a cafe, Jimmy the Saint on the ground floor. The studio is light and bright with a high, warehouse-style ceiling. The walls have been freshly painted antique white and the floor is sealed concrete. All the desks and fittings are new, apart from the chairs which were left by the previous tenant. The desks are from Aero design and feature steel powder-coated legs. Communal facilities include a ‘casual’ zone with two leather sofas and coffee table and is divided from the work area by a large bookcase. There is a kitchen area with fridge, sandwich press, microwave and kettle for tea and coffee. There are large fitted cupboards for storage, a cutting mat, printer and bathroom facilities. For presentations there is a meeting area with large table and chairs separated from the studio by a large, craftsman-made, display case by Andrew Tuckey. Tenants are welcome to display their own designs when they have client meetings arranged. There is also a 42cm monitor mounted on the storage units with Apple TV for wireless presentations. The space is currently shared by three design business.  One is focussed on brand design, another product design and the third digital design. The ideal tenants would be other creative professionals. There is a high possibility of freelance opportunities to suitably talented designers.
