Award winning Bakehouse Studios has been recognized globally as one of the best creative complexes in the world. Glorious rehearsal/film location/production/recording and event facilities to suit all sizes and budgets, from the smallest ensemble to 20 piece orchestras.
12 rehearsal rooms, ranging from small to extra large. Rehearsals where live music is a priority, however the rooms can cater for Film, Theatre, Dance and full production rehearsals. Extra large room "the Scrap Museum" 9.5 mtrs by 17.5 mtrs, with kitchen, bar area, lounge, piano, stage, lights, PA. "The Belfry"" Both grand and airy, featuring luscious green velvet curtains, wooden floors, high ceilings and large windows letting the natural light stream through. Adjoining project studios allow for isolated rooms with view to the main room for FOH or monitors in production rehearsals Recent Patrons include, Cut Copy, Cat Power, Nick Cave, Elvis Costello. An aesthetically comfortable, creative space, with an outdoor courtyard feature.
Located on Hoddle Street in bustling Richmond, with easy load in access from behind building. Train, tram and buses close by, with lots of food and coffee to choose from.
