Space overview
The space is an old boat yard where heritage fleet are being restored. There is a community garden that is slowly expanding. There is an outdoor entertainment area. One empty shipping container with solar power. And a series of boats, including a Viking Ship.
Pyrmont Heritage Boating Club have been using this space to preserve and restore boats. They have a collection of them scattered around, on sea and land, including a Viking Ship. They have also been working on a community garden (with a cute herb garden, natives, and an apple tree already placed). As well as doing bush regeneration around the foreshore. An outdoor entertainment area has been made with a collection of odd found furniture, art and sculptures. A woodfired oven can be used. This space is available for low key events. Closer to the parking area is a labyrinth of scrap, machinery and shipping containers. One of the shipping containers has been cleared and has access to solar power. The container makes for an interesting performance space, and/or gallery space. Film shoots may be permitted depending on scale/impact. There are portaloo's that are shared with a local rowing team. The sunsets are beautiful .
It is to the right of the Fish Markets one of the last lots on Sydney Harbour in Pyrmont.
