THE LINDEN WORKSHOP
Space overview
The Linden Workshop is a community studio space for hire. It is commonly used for tutored life drawing classes, painting classes and craft activities. Linden Workshop space equipment: 20 x stackable chairs 6 x trestle tables 15 x easels 15 x MDF drawing boards
The Linden Workshop is situated at the rear of Linden New Art and has a reverse air-conditioning unit for heating and cooling. Access to shared public toilets and a kitchen, including shared fridge access is available. A large sink with running water is also provided. There is a small private area for life drawing models to use just off the main space. The Linden Workshop has several power points within the space. All electrical equipment such as fans, overhead projectors or additional heaters used within the space must be tested and tagged.
Visitors to Linden New Art will use a long ramp with a gradual incline that leads to a large accessible door. The gallery's internal doors are wide enough to accommodate large chairs, and the exhibitions are created with wide thoroughfares to allow for easy navigation by visitors of any mobility range.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT There are tram and bus stops nearby on the Acland and Fitzroy Street shopping precincts. TRAMS: 12, 16, 96 (3a weekends only) BUSES: 600, 606, 623, 246 ACCESSIBLE PUBLIC TRANSPORT We recommend passengers requiring accessible services use the Route 96 tram to Alfred Square/The Esplanade (stop number 136). In addition, the Route 16 is partly serviced by low-floor trams. Bus routes 600, 606, 623 or 922 are the closest services to Linden New Art and are wheelchair accessible services.
Parking
There is limited 1.5 hour & all day parking on Acland Street. Paid parking is available nearby at the Prince of Wales Hotel, the Palais Theatre and on Belford Street West (off Acland Street). There is no dedicated accessible car parking in the direct area, but if you require support with drop off and pick up, please contact us and we can arrange a designated spot for you.
