Space overview
The Botanist Garden is a lush, hidden sanctuary in the heart of Richmond. The garden is a mix of ferns, palms, curtains of ripsalis, bold fatsia, vibrant cantheas, small cypress trees, monsteras, creeping jasmine and Japanese maple. Nestled beneath the leaves, the pristinely kept garden provides a vibrant and thriving backdrop for photoshoots, film and product shots. The included vintage marble table is perfect for staged lunches and product backdrops and is lit by dancing, dappled light. The garden is well lit at all hours of the day, as loads of natural sunlight pour through the trees. The Botanist Garden is at the rear of two artist studios and will be staffed at all times. One of the artists will be available to greet you upon arrival, introduce you to the space and is on hand to ensure your creative project runs smoothly. The Garden is accessible via the private back alleyway and is then closed off by a set of vintage church doors. The Garden is rusticly paved, yet is perfectly flat, creating an ideal surface for stable tripods and seating. A selection of props, including marble slabs, handmade linen and tableware, are available for use - the full list is available by request. We welcome you to reach out with any additional questions.
