Space overview
TACAS is a vibrant community of artisans who work in many different artforms, such as eco dying, garments repurposed, embroidery, button making, pottery, mosaics and printing. We also run workshops, and this year hosted the Opening night of Banyule Open Studio weekend.
This is a well-lit spacious warehouse with a large front area for workshops with a roller door that can be opened to let in the sunshine. The front area has a photo corner with lights. There is also a communal kiln and printing press, and large tub for dying fabric. Each tenant space is furnished by the tenant. There are no fixed walls between spaces, but tenants use dividers and shelves to frame their space. The kitchen is large with plenty of space in the fridge for your lunch.
The space is located in the West Heidleburg Business park, there are many other artisans and small business!
