Space overview
A unique, down to earth coworking and event space. Our space is for start-up entrepreneurs, interior designers, architects in need of a desk or creatives in need of places to film/record their course content in our beautiful meeting rooms and spaces.
Sanders Place is a beautiful, architecturally designed space which was lovingly retrofitted from a vegan chocolate warehouse into a best practice environmental office and event space. Our members and their guests enjoy spacious rooms, high ceilings, tonnes of natural light and a comfortable temperature year round, with minimal energy use. We recently won the 2024 National Architecture Award for Commercial Architecture.
Our space is located off Church St in Richmond. Easily accessible by public transport: train, tram or bus. We have a host of delicious food options and caterers we can recommend for you nearby. As well as favourite coffee spots and a park within walking distance.

Members hours: 7am-8pm Monday-Friday. Guests/external hirer hours: 9am - 5pm Monday-Friday. Weekends: Not open (unless approved for an event)
We offer a range of work spaces and membership levels to suit the needs of individual creatives or entrepreneurs looking for a dedicated writing desk or comfy meeting rooms to brainstorm their ideas, and offer rooms for photography/film shoots and recording podcasts. Accessible via public transport: 3 mins walk from East Richmond train station. 10 minute walk via Church street from Richmond station. There is also the 78 tram you can take that stops on Church St parallel to Albert street, or there’s the 70 tram on Swan Street.
Parking
Bike parking spots available on site near our front door entrance and in our back garage. No free all day parking. There are places you can pay for all day parking nearby or alternatively there are 2 hr parking spots.
