Space overview
Beneath the popular Princes Park in Battery Point, a disused, fully intact subterranean magazine can be found. Surrounded by corridors, it still remains after the dismantling of the Mulgrave, Prince of Wales and Prince Albert Batteries in 1880.
The vaulted sandstone corridors give the space a unique acoustic quality. The historical and atmospheric aesthetic favours light and visual arts installations, small theatrical events and paired-back classical or contemporary music.
