MAVA Artist Studios
Space overview
MAVA Substation was formerly known as Substation 9 and used to supply power to Brisbane’s long forgotten tram system. Metro Arts has worked to revitalise the space with the addition of a studio space, workshop, kitchen and upgrades to the building premises.
Four spaces are available within the studio for visual artists to lease. The Studio is to be shared by four artists each with an individual workspace, shared storage and pin up facilities, and a larger communal workspace. As part of their tenancy, the leasing artists will have access to a discounted membership to the MAVA Workshop and Digital Studio housed onsite. Don’t miss this opportunity to secure your creative haven! Studio tenancy is available from Monday 12 July for 6 or 12 months rental terms.
Our space is accesible via public transport (Wynnum Road); but also has ample street parking.
