Artist / Maker / Creative / Studio / Preston
Space overview
We are a very (very) large industrial space housing a combination of 20+ creative sole traders, craftspeople, and artists. .
The most lovely of our South End spaces, this studio has great natural light, lockable double doors, heating, and overhead lighting. PLUS a fully sprung floor originally installed for dance and creative movement but is lovely for anyone. (can be removed if necessary for the right tenant). Dundas Street is loosely divided into North & South: The South End has a walls-and-doors-vibe with natural light, covered entrance & security gate, a shared kitchenette, and bathrooms. Currently housing: visual artists, ceramicists, jeweller, photographer, fashion/costume designer, and musicians. The North End transitions into a large open-plan maker space. It has high ceilings, roller door, side entrance, 3-phase power, spray-room, washup area, sink trap, shared kitchenette, toilets, and shared meeting/lunch area. Currently housing: fabricators, metal artists, installation artists, ceramicists, woodworkers, and furniture makers.
In the still busy industrial area of Preston South toward the Darebin Creek. Close to Jamsheed Winery (next door!), Little Tienda Thornbury, 3 Ravens Brewery, and a handful of other places to keep you fuelled. Bunnings and Northland a short drive away.
