Space overview
A shared photography Studio, set within a converted gasket factory in Preston.
APAX Photography Studio is a spacious, shared space for a collective of photographers. The studio features an expansive 8x12 meter area with impressive 3-4 meter ceilings. Originally a gasket factory, it retains its industrial character with exposed concrete walls and a distinctive pinkish-off-white concrete floor. Natural light floods the space, while blackout capabilities offer full control over lighting conditions. The open-plan layout includes a dedicated photo studio, kitchenette, work area, H&MU station, loading dock, secure gear storage, lounge, fireplace, and bathroom. APAX is equipped to accommodate a range of photographic needs with polys, stands, paper rolls, a steamer, and additional equipment available for hire. The space is shared by five photographers, with bookings managed through a shared calendar.
Apax Creative Studios is located just off Bells St and High St, Preston. The space is walking distance from the 86 tram line and Bell train station as well as coffee shops and the Preston market.
