Small Figures - Sculpture Workshop
An intimate Small Figures sculpture workshop to transport you into the world of form and modelling of clay with Sculptor Jean-Paul Zilliacus at the iconic Nicholas Building.
About this event
Within the workshop explore the process of moulding clay into the female form with a life model as the subject. Within the workshops which run for three hours you will learn from Master sculptor Jean-Paul everything from working with sculpting tools and clay, measuring and modelling the planes seen in the life model to refining a final work in the last class.
Jean-Paul Zilliacus is a Montsalvat resident sculptor focusing his practice on observational realism of the human form and face. His observations and translations into clay were influenced early on by encouragement from his grandmother Nancy Patterson, the painter as well as a Steiner based education which fostered creativity.
