With an eclectic mix of electronic influences, introspective lyrics, quirky vocals and a touch of rock. Zak Roams music aims to subtly offer new perspectives and inspire you to contemplate on personal and worldly issues we all face.
As an artist from an early age, Zak was always bursting with too many projects, constantly juggling between different mediums. Without a clear way to channel his thoughts and ideas, it resulted in him feeling lost and directionless. This lead him to begin an epic trip across the world, recording instruments and musicians from countries such as Vietnam, India and Thailand & Turkey.
His journey made it clear to him, that music was the art form that allowed him to best express his ideas and perceptions about himself and the world around him. His aim is to now use his music to offer new ideas and insights, and to broaden the understanding of ourselves and those around us.
Zak has performed at some of Melbournes most popular night clubs, such as Pawn & Co, onesixone and The Third Day. His live sets, utilise loops, vocals and rock inspired guitar, adding a unique flavour to the electronic dance music scene.
His upcoming single “Crossroads” features a deep pulsating bass, smooth Radiohead inspired vocals, and a synth hook line that tears through the speakers, leaving your jaw on the ground. Crossroads is out May 13th and is track #002 of his upcoming EP “Instinct” due out June
