About
Born and raised in Newcastle. Stephen struggled to find opportunities to study filmmaking. Growing up making films with his family, however, had cemented a life-long passion in him that would leave him not easily deterred.
This lead Stephen to move to Melbourne where he would study at both Swinburne University of Technology and The Victorian College of the Arts. Here he obtained both a foundational education on filmmaking and an exorbitant amount of student debt.
A life long lover of speculative fiction, Stephen is an emerging filmmaker with a desire to tell authentic Australian stories that both engage and challenge; often through humour and satire. Stephen is currently completing a Masters of Film and Television and aspires to one day pay off his student debt as a screenwriter and director.
