About
Peta Murray is a writer-performer, librettist and dramaturg turned late blooming paracademic. Best known for her play Wallflowering, she has written multiple works for performance, including the AWGIE-winning The Keys to the Animal Room, and Salt, winner of the Victorian Premier’s Award for Drama.
Recent projects include Things That Fall Over: An Anti-Musical of a Novel inside a Reading of a Play, with Footnotes and Oratorio-as-Coda which premiered at Footscray Community Arts Centre and a triptych of works on themes of ageing and the creative life course, Ware with A Translucent Body. A work of live art, vigil/wake, made in collaboration with Jane Murphy, Rachel Burke and Thembi Soddell, has had presentations at Melbourne’s ArtsHouse. Peta is working on HERD with WreckedALL Prods, and has other projects in development including a new installation with Jane Murphy and Rachel Burke.
