About
As a multidisciplinary artist, I work across photography, digital collage, sculpture and oil painting. My works are personal; I include my own body in the digital collages as an ongoing dialogue with my own sense of fragmented identity. My practice explores ideas of representation, beauty and the female experience. With my work I examine Western ideals of beauty and how the female body has been historically depicted.
My surrealist landscapes and decayed sugar sculptures question our societal obsession with beauty through reclaiming and re-representing objects associated with traditional femininity. In a range of mediums, my works engage with issues of scale, colour and soft shaping.
I was born in France, raised in Brisbane, and am currently living and practicing in Melbourne.
