About
Charlie Teitelbaum is an artist, musician, composer, producer and broadcaster with over ten years of professional experience. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (majoring in Sound Art) from RMIT University in 2016, Charlie’s artistic practice encompasses the areas of and between music, experimental sound, video and performance art.
Charlie is passionate about the theoretical explorations of digital landscapes, cyber-feminism, decolonisation and popular music; investigating and forcing them to intersect as part of their public work. As well as Hydra Fashion Week, Charlie is a founding member of electronic/pop act Huntly, contributing as a songwriter, producer, vocalist and synth player since its inception in 2013.
Additionally, Charlie has years of experience producing and performing for a number of other groups such as Biscotti, Gregor and various jazz ensembles lead by mentor Steve Sedergreen. For these groups Charlie has completed national tours playing piano, organ, synth, production and vocals.
Charlie also works as a freelance sound artist and composer, creating music and soundscapes for commercials and films.
