Callan Morgan
About
Callan Morgan is inspired by both the natural and mechanical worlds. His work melds these polarities by combining modern technology and biological themes to create seemingly unlikely harmony between the two. Callan transitioned into sculpture in 2014 after spending 14 years as a circus performer and engineering circus equipment. Callan has extensive experience in producing public sculptural and street art and has led numerous collaborative projects including Utility Kinetic Insect (UKI).
Callan is the founder and director of Pelican Studios in Coburg, a creative space that provides a platform for projects that blend a wide range of technical, design and artistic skills for Melbourne creatives. He is also the founder of Make Mob, a Not For Profit company that empowers people to co-create projects that benefit communities and the environment.
