About
I am a trained printmaker, with an Honours degree from RMIT University, which included an international exchange to Glasgow School of Art. Since graduating I have had both solo and group exhibitions, been selected for print prizes and participated in print exchanges both locally and internationally.
The artworks I make are predominantly works on paper, with watercolour, drawing and prints as my preferred mediums. In recent years, I have been exploring themes of unconventional beauty and the sublime in the works I make.
My work is held in private and public collections both nationally and internationally. This includes the National Gallery of Australia's print collection, Canberra, the Glasgow School of Art print collection and the National School of Art and Design print collection, Dublin amongst others.
What attracted you to the space and what makes your studio suitable for your practice?
After taking a break from my practice to become an art teacher I am ready to make work again. The space at River Studios will give me an opportunity to make work in an artistic community which I am really looking forward to. It is very beneficial to me as an artist to be able to be with like-minded people and to work in a place away from home so I can truly focus on my creative endeavours. As a printmaker having a studio space is a place where I can make prints will be ideal.
