Exhibition: Vibes

Something of an etymology, the dislocative term ‘vibe’ makes one feel immediately lost, in its flippancy, the way it has abducted our consideration of space, and criticality in looking at the space between one another.

It seems fitting that the exhibition Vibes arises within a contained public premise, totally untouched, almost automatically perceived, ringing something close to what one can only try to imagine as a shared experience over the past few years. Artists find themselves grounded in their appreciation for a phrase so silly but suitable. Complicating the detail of distance, yet brought together in their differences, the exhibition suffices something of a uniting force. As relics of this pause we cannot think beyond loss, and so artists present effigies of our moving through.
